Dr. Scott Miller discusses CoolSculpting® during a Pacific San Diego Magazine interview from his former breast augmentation revision patient

La Jolla, CA – Dr. Scott R. Miller has a motto for his San Diego plastic surgery practice that makes him stand out from his peers: “Well-done plastic surgery doesn’t create beauty. It reveals it.” Recently, Dr. Miller was interviewed for an article about cosmetic surgery for Pacific San Diego Magazine, and the author of the article had experienced Dr. Miller’s unique approach firsthand.

The author of the article titled “Are Those Real?” focuses on the current trend of natural-looking results and cites her own experience as a cautionary tale. After her primary breast augmentation procedure, the author was unhappy with results that were larger and more prominent than she expected. She found herself wanting to cover up her new body rather than feeling the self-confidence she expected.

Seeking help, Dr. Miller was the surgeon she selected for her breast revision surgery. He delivered the results she had originally envisioned and taught her the value of seeking out a reputable, well-qualified surgeon for cosmetic procedures. The author highlights that while bigger used to be better, natural-looking results are now the “Holy Grail” of cosmetic surgery—and this trend is in perfect alignment with Dr. Miller’s mission of revealing beauty rather than creating it.

In the article, Dr. Miller is featured discussing CoolSculpting® procedures. According to his website, CoolSculpting® is a non-surgical procedure that gently and effectively diminishes fat in targeted areas of the body resulting in noticeable, natural-looking fat reduction without any down time. Unlike traditional surgical procedures, such as liposuction, CoolSculpting® is non-invasive: there are no needles, no incisions, and no need for anesthesia or pain medications.

The CoolSculpting® procedure effectively eliminates fat in areas of the body including:

The results of CoolSculpting® procedures are apparent within 2-3 months and last as long as more invasive procedures such as liposuction. During this time, the “frozen” fat cells are metabolized and expelled from the body.

Dr. Miller, a San Diego plastic surgeon, reminds all of his patients that undergoing cosmetic procedures requires a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. He highlights in his interview for Pacific San Diego Magazine that patients should not view a diet as temporary before they return to their “real life,” adding that patients who are committed to lifestyle changes can enjoy the results of their cosmetic procedures for many years to come.
